Vehicle inspection is a legal requirement that many drivers tend to remember only when the due date approaches. TÜVTÜRK operates under the supervision of the Turkish Accreditation Agency (TÜRKAK) in accordance with the TS EN ISO 17020 standard, ensuring that inspections are performed independently and reliably.

Several payment options are available for vehicle inspection fees.
This is the most common and preferred method. On the day of your appointment, payment can be made directly at the TÜVTÜRK inspection station.
Accepted payment methods include:

- Credit card
Please note that card payments may include an additional service fee determined by the payment provider in accordance with applicable regulations. While TÜVTÜRK does not offer installment plans, some banks may allow post-purchase installment options.
Inspection fees can also be paid through TÜVTÜRK’s digital channels. This option reduces waiting time at the inspection station and helps you arrive fully prepared on your appointment day.
Certain banks allow vehicle inspection fee payments through their mobile banking apps or online banking platforms. This method is convenient for keeping payment records and tracking transactions.
Missing your inspection deadline comes with a financial penalty. According to Article 35 of the Highway Traffic Law No. 2918, an additional 5% of the inspection fee is charged for each month of delay.
For example, if your passenger car inspection is delayed by three months:
3,288 TL × 5% × 3 = 493.20 TL
Total amount payable: 3,781.20 TL.
For this reason, monitoring your inspection due date and scheduling your appointment on time is the most effective way to avoid unnecessary costs.
Inspection intervals vary depending on the type and age of the vehicle.
- New passenger cars are exempt from inspection for the first 3 years after initial registration.
- Passenger cars older than 3 years (including M1G class vehicles) must be inspected every 2 years.
- Commercial vehicles such as taxis, trucks, and buses are subject to annual inspections.
- Motorcycles and tractors must also undergo annual inspections.
The inspection expiry date is shown both on the inspection certificate and on the right-hand side of the vehicle registration document. Regularly checking this date helps prevent unexpected delays.
Before visiting the inspection station, make sure you have the following documents ready.

Vehicles without compulsory traffic insurance will not be accepted for inspection.

Vehicles with unpaid taxes, toll debts, or traffic penalties will not be accepted for inspection.
- Must be used within one month of the original paid inspection date.
- Valid at all TÜVTÜRK stations serving the same vehicle category throughout Türkiye.
- Only one free re-inspection is granted per paid inspection.
- If the deadline is missed or the vehicle fails again, a full inspection fee is charged.
- Vehicles that have undergone modifications are not eligible for free re-inspection.
A vehicle will not be inspected in the following circumstances:
- Failure to provide mandatory documents
- Detection of dangerous fuel or gas leaks
- Excessive vehicle height creating a risk of hitting station equipment
- Vehicle breakdown before or during inspection
- Vehicles carrying hazardous materials
- Cargo or items obstructing equipment checks in the luggage compartment
TÜVTÜRK stations do not accept walk-in inspections. To make an appointment:
- Visit the official TÜVTÜRK website or contact the call center.
- Enter your license plate and registration information.
- Select the nearest inspection station.
- Choose an available date and time.
- Confirm your appointment.
Arriving at least 15 minutes before your appointment is recommended. After document verification, your vehicle will be inspected by technicians. The process typically takes between 20 and 30 minutes.
